Alterations in T-cell subtypes influence the disease course of Multiple Sclerosis
Principal Investigator: prof. dr. Niels Hellings, Researcher: Cindy Hoeks
The goal of this study is to determine how alterations in two specific T-cell subtypes, namely CD4+ T-cells and follicular regulatory T-cells, can influence the disease course of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Our hypothesis is that the alteration in both T-cell subtypes contributes to a progressive course of MS. To this end, both T-cell subtypes will be studied individually, and their prevalence in a cohort of MS patients will be associated with changes in clinical parameters.
